QB Check for ADHD
Our QB check (www.qbcheck.com) is an interactive computer-based assessment that objectively measures the three primary symptoms of ADHD. It establishes any difficulties that correlate with ADHD, for example, difficulties with activity, inattention and impulsivity.
The QB assessment is designed for both children and adults and the outcomes are compared with participants of the same age and gender, who have ADHD and those who do not. The test is performed on a computer, and takes approximately 15-20 minutes. We use the QB assessment as part of a comprehensive ADHD assessment, and this can be completed online or in our clinic.
Are you or a loved one struggling with ADHD symptoms such as hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention? An ADHD assessment can provide clarity and help you get the support you need. At our clinic, we use two tools to evaluate ADHD: the Connors Assessment and the QB Check.
The assessment process starts with a thorough evaluation of your medical and developmental history. We will also gather information about your current symptoms and how they impact your daily life. This may involve talking to parents, teachers, and other caregivers who have observed your behaviour.
We will also request that your school completes a Connors Teacher Rating Scale form. This form is a standardised tool used to gather information about behaviour and performance in the classroom. It will give us insight into how your ADHD symptoms affect your academic performance and behaviour at school.
Once we have gathered all the necessary information, we will schedule an appointment for you to complete the Connors Assessment and the QB Check. The Connors Assessment is a self-report questionnaire that you will complete with the guidance of one of our clinicians. The QB Check is a computer-based test that measures attention and impulsivity.
After completing the assessment, our team of experienced clinicians will analyse the results and provide you with a comprehensive report. This report will include a summary of your symptoms, the severity of your ADHD, and recommendations for treatment. We will also take the time to explain the results to you and answer any questions you may have.
We understand that ADHD can be challenging for both the individual and their family. That's why we work closely with parents and caregivers throughout the assessment and treatment process. We believe that by working together, we can help you or your loved one manage ADHD symptoms and achieve success in all areas of life.
We are a therapeutic service and provide a range of psychological interventions to help with managing the symptoms of ADHD/ ADD. We do not offer prescriptions or advise on medication for ADHD.
