Using our bespoke program tailored for children and adolescents, we explore social communication and understanding through the medium of Lego! We offer a combination of one-to-one and small groups, where there is fun and learning to be had in equal measure.
Music therapy is a psychological intervention that uses the expressive elements of music as a means of interaction between the child and therapist. This provides an alternative method of communication when talking is too difficult or not possible, and this can help to reduce anxious feelings and thoughts.
Not all children are able to process their own emotions or articulate problems to parents or other adults. Our trained play therapists use playtime to observe and gain insights into a child’s problems. The therapist can then help the child explore emotions and deal with unresolved trauma through play.
Walking and talking with our very own Freddie the therapy dog! It's for children who prefer the open space to the therapy room. It takes the attention off the child and gives them the space to unpack their thoughts without feeling under the spotlight.
Friendships provide us with a sense of connection, value and meaning, they are important for building self-esteem and social skills. We offer children the opportunity to meet others and share their interests and build their confidence through our programme of social drop-in sessions and workshops.
Our Speech and language therapists provide treatment, support and care for people who have difficulties with communication, eating, drinking and swallowing. They help people who, for physical or psychological reasons, have difficulties with verbal communication.
